In this short video, IMDb tries to answer: where the hell was Batman?
Story
After the events of “Batman” (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, is trying to seize the reins of the underworld in Gotham. Aside from the bat sign in the final shot of the season finale, we never got a Robert Pattinson costume in The Penguin. Colin Farrell fought hard to get the smoking version of the Penguin in Batman (2022), but to no avail.
The DC Studios logo is located in a rainy Gotham alley
In his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user who prefers cigars. An umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo.
Graham Norton and guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024)
I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but I never understood why they cast a skinny, handsome, toned actor and put on huge prosthetics and a thick suit… especially when you consider that he looks like some famous actor who would be just as good. I also didn’t really understand why this split was necessary, and to be honest, I’m just sick of Batman reboots.
But I didn’t expect to like it so much
But after the first episode, I can confirm that this show is amazing (so far). I only watched it because I knew it was a bridge to watch between the first and second movies, and the unexpected delight of Farrell in the first movie. The acting is amazing, the script is excellent, and it surprised me with some quick twists.
I hope the movie is as good as it was before because I can’t wait for the next installment
What I liked most was that there was a lot more color in it than in “Batman.” I noticed it almost immediately because the movie was a huge turn-off for me (it felt like I was watching it through Zack Snyder’s lens).
