This is a stripped-down Windows 10 operating system based on Build 1511–10586 (also known as the November Update or TH2)
The minimum system requirements remain the same as expected, although this customized version of Windows should run faster than the original due to a number of changes listed below.
This is the second version, the one that supports 32-bit CPUs
There is also the first version, which is 64-bit on my profile.
– Disabled hibernation – Disabled page file – Removed firewall (although in some cases it may appear while using a program and the service was not removed as it is essential) – Windows Update has not been removed, but there is no guarantee that it will work as you always disable it via servicesmsc (it is still necessary to enable it to install apps from the Store) – Apps from the Store should work fine
*** IMPORTANT NOTE: WHEN YOU GET TO THE “GET GOING FAST” SCREEN, SELECT CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS, THEN DISABLE EVERYTHING TO MAKE WINDOWS WORK *** System Requirements • Processor: 1 gigahertz or faster (GHz) /PAE SSE2 (if Windows 8 worked, this will work too) • RAM: 1 GB for 64-bit (technically only 512 MB is required) • Hard Disk Space: 20 GB • Graphics Card: DirectX 9 or higher Changes and Information (most important ones anyway): – Removed most Metro apps except Edge, Store, and Calculator – Removed most non-essential drivers (like graphics, printers, network) These will need to be downloaded and installed manually depending on the specs of each computer – Removed some helpers – Removed speech and Cortana support – Removed Search (Explorer search bar still works) – Removed Windows Media Player – Enabled Windows Photo Viewer instead of the Metro app “Photos”, although images will open in Paint first until the user changes the default app to Windows Photo Viewer.
– Games from the Store no longer work (I couldn’t figure out why)
Non-UWP games (like CS:GO) should still work, considering they will update their drivers
